PEPFAR funding will support 60 PCVs and 60 counterparts across the continum of training. Peace Corps Thailand will provide Volunteers with technical HIV information and behaivor change strategies that can be rolled out with youth in their communities in support of PEPFAR Team's Framework goals. There are 4 opportunities for HIV/AIDS training for Volunteers and counterparts. During PST and IST ("Reconnect Training") the trainings will build upon and deepen Volunteers' skills to develop and facilitate HIV/AIDS education sessions in their communities. Another opportunity is Regional check-ins are scheduled as an opportunity for Volunteer to exchange best practices and lessons learned among Volunteers around HIV/AIDS programming in their respective regions. And Project Design Management Training will help Volunteers and their Counterparts develop a project around HIV/AIDS and leverage VAST funds to support projects. Volunteers are always encouraged to address gender issues in activities and in youth context it is often related control over making decisions of when to have sex and to use a condom.

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.
